About us

fridayjet is an independently built site with a single purpose: to make it easier to plan weekend trips departing from Budapest. We're not an airline or a travel agency — we don't sell tickets ourselves, we collect and rank prices, then send you to the airline's or travel agent's own booking page to complete the purchase.

How we collect prices

The site continuously refreshes direct-flight prices from Budapest (BUD) in the background, looking roughly 13 months ahead. We only include direct flights, since that's what matters most for a weekend trip. Prices and availability can change hourly — every destination shows exactly when its data was last refreshed.

Why we built this

Because the best weekend deals often get lost in classic flight search tools that require you to already know your dates and destination. fridayjet works the other way around: it shows you which destinations are cheapest right now, for a specific weekend or any date range you choose — you don't need to know where you're going in advance.

Transparency

The site carries no paid placements or sponsored results — ranking is driven purely by price and the filters you choose. You can read more about how data is handled in our privacy policy.
