The Croatian coast is the nearest genuine seaside experience from Budapest: Split (SPU), Dubrovnik (DBV), Zadar (ZAD) and Pula (PUY) are all within a 1–1.5-hour flight, and every one of these towns has a walkable old town as well as a beach.
